DIY: Bow Shoe Clips

These cute little bow shoe clips are the perfect way to make a pair of old soles feel shiny and new again.

Want to make your own?

HERE'S THE HOW TO:

Stuff you'll need:

Ribbon (the ribbon I used had a bit of wire in it which helped the bow keep its shape)

Clip on earrings

Needle and thread

Method:

All you have to do is make a bow with the ribbon and then sew the clip on earring to the back like so...

Clip them on your shoes and you are good to go...

And if you wanted to mix things up a little bit, you could even wear them on the back...

These bows were definitely made for walking!

  6. 1) you look darling in those yellow pants!
    2) This is such a good use for clip on earring backs. I have so many lying around from converting old earrings into pierced earrings.
    3) do you need to do anything to keep the little clip on earring pieces from digging into your skin, or are they small enough where they won't bother you?

    1. I haven't worn them for long periods of time to know for sure yet. They do rub against your skin a little bit. If that bothers you, you could probably add some moleskin to the back of the clasp to keep them from rubbing against your skin so much.
