DIY: Love Your Soles Socks

Brrrrrrr.... it's chilly outside and when the temperatures drop you've gotta keep those tootsies warm.

Ready to show your feet some love this winter?  Keep them warm in some cute heart socks.  Your soles will thank you.

HERE'S THE HOW TO:

Stuff You'll Need:

A pair of thick warm socks (the fuzzier, the better)

Red felt

Heart template

Needle and thread

Method:

This project couldn't be any easier.  All you need to do is cut hearts out of the felt and then sew them onto the heels of the socks. (Tip: I found it easiest to weave the needle in and out through the outside of the sock rather than pulling it all the way through the inside of the sock as I sewed).

Slip them on your feet to stay warm and cozy...

Now, that's showing your feet some love.

Do you guys have any tips for staying cute and warm in the winter?

    1. Oh my! I'll probably end up with pink socks with red hearts. lol! Could still be cute... I'll keep you posted.

To avoid this you could always use a darker pair of socks. Grey could look really great with red hearts too! :)

  9. Oh for the cozy sock lover in all of us! I must resist adding this to my ever growing artsy to-do list at least until after new years, or I'll never finish my xmas gifts... Or maybe someone will get these socks... ::raises eyebrow::

    1. Awww, thanks Caleisha

I get my inspiration from all kinds of places. I carry a notebook around so I can jot ideas down whenever they come to me. The internet is also a huge source of inspiration. I spend oodles (aka waaaay too much) time reading blogs and pinning on Pinterest. I think the key is to find inspiration in what others are doing and make it your own.

    1. I wish I could knit some socks, but I 'cheated' and used felt because I don't know how to knit yet. One of these days I'll knit a pair too. I'd love to see how your heart socks turn out... once winter heads your way... :)
