Lately.

A few fun fabrics I picked up for upcoming DIY projects.  Get excited!

Surprisingly colorful suds at the carwash.

We've had our share of storms lately.  Amazing and terrifying all at the same time.
It's not too fun when they cause you to lose power for a week in the summer heat. Ick!

The sunrises have been ahhhmazing. Almost makes my 5am wakeup call worth it.  ;)

A spot to call my own.  (Finally) putting together a craft room for myself.  It's not pretty yet, but I'm excited to have a place to work on all my projects.  Plus, it's nice to be able to think about decorating only one small room.  It makes it a lot less daunting than focusing on decorating our entire house.  Baby steps...

What have you been up to lately?

  4. I love having a summer storm to cool things down but no power for a week is awful and sticky in summer:( I like that flower fabric, very pretty. I look forward to seeing what you create with it:)

    1. There is nothing like fresh rain to make the world feel all fresh, shiny and new again after being in the sticky heat of summer...

Can't wait to show you what I have in store with the fabric. I'm planning to play with it this weekend :)

    1. Hi Hanna! Yes, these were taken with my iPhone and I added filters to them with the Instagram app.

As for other editing tools I use on the blog, I have a really old version of Photoshop and I also use Google's photo editing program (it's free if you have a Google account).

I'd love to see what you did with your room even if it's just a tiny corner. As you can see, I'm working on decorating my craft room also. :)

  6. Those fabrics are awesome!
I've been making pencil pouches with fabric I found hanging around my house. I can finally sew zippers into things! win!
Otherwise, any photos of what I've been up to lately would be insanely boring as my nights have been spent... packing. I know. I'm exciting.

Can't wait to see what you're up to with those fabrics!

    1. You should post about the pencil pouches you made. They sound adorable! I've never tried sewing zippers before.

Packing might be boring, but traveling is fun. Can't wait to read about all your new adventures!
