DIY: Flower Headband

I've been having a lot of fun playing around with different ways to style the flower pin I made with the DIY: Flower Pin Tutorial.  I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites with you guys this week.

Today, I'm going to show you how to create this flirty and fun floral headband.

HERE'S THE HOW TO:

Stuff you'll need:

Need to make a floral pin?  Check out the DIY: Floral Pin Tutorial.

Method:

Once you've created your floral pin, all you have to do is pin the flower to the elastic headband. Then, throw the headband in your hair and you've got a fun hairstyle that will keep your hair out of your face on these sultry summer days.

Do you have any hair tips for keeping your strands out of your face when the weather gets hot, hot, hot outside?

Be sure to drop back by this week, because I've got more fun flower pin styling tutorials lined up. The next tutorial is coming up tomorrow.  See you then!

  1. That pin is so cute!

Too bad I have this really oddly shaped head that all elastic headbands simply slip off. Maybe I can make a barrette version :)

    1. I actually have a barrette tutorial coming up tomorrow (for all my 'oddly shaped head' readers...lol!).

Have you tried pinning the headband in place on your head with bobby pins? I have to do that or else I have the same slippage problem... probably because my head is a weird shape too (we are 'twinsies' ya know!).

  8. This looks so cute, really suits you.
When the weather gets hot I usually do a messy high bun or a sleek ballerina bun. A loose braid helps me too.
    Hooray for the hot days.

    1. I've got to try a loose braid. I'm pretty much stuck in a bun rut right now. I think a braid would help mix things up a bit. :)
