Chicago's Navy Pier.

On our trip to Chicago, we spent a lot of time at Navy Pier, mostly because there is so much to do.  There is dining, shops, boat rides, shows, carnival rides, fireworks, and more. Here's a little bit of what we did on the pier...

When in Chicago, you must ride the ferris wheel.  The views are spectacular.

If you need to cool off, a speed boat ride will do the trick...

... just don't expect to stay dry.

Take a walk to the end of the pier.

Scope out lighthouses during the day, and then by night...

The John Hancock Building all dressed up for the 4th of July.

What a perfect way to end the day.

Tomorrow, I've got some great Chicago treats and eats lined up, so be sure to bring a fork and your appetite.

    1. Ha ha! A napkin is a great idea. Chicago-style comfort food can get pretty messy, but it's better that way for sure. :)

    1. You should definitely take some more time to explore the city. There is so much to see and do! The nice thing is that since you have family in the area, you can just see a little bit of the city each time you visit. :)

    1. Awesome! I like spinach, but I was never quite sure how I'd like it in smoothie form. lol. Since you can barely taste it, I'm gonna have to give it a try. My favorite thing about your 'green' smoothie is that it isn't that yucky green color that most green smooties get... much less intimidating that way. :)

By the way, I loved your Japanese Ice Ouca post (they don't have THAT in Chicago, that's for sure). I mean, tomato and asparagus soft-serve flavors?? Wild! :)

    1. A fear of heights would make a ferris wheel a bit scary. Wouldn't blame you one bit for skipping that ride.

  15. I just missed Chicago again...loved Navy Pier and the ferris wheel - we did that in the evening after sunset so I only saw the blinking red light of the lighthouse. Felt awesome to look at the tall, lit up skyscrapers from the ferris wheel.
